Mark Arvind, M.D. - Internal Medicine

Dr. Mark Arvind received both his undergraduate degree and Medical degree from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College in India prior to completing an Internal Medicine Internship at the University of Minnesota. He also completed numerous Residency programs around the world in India, North Wales, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Board Certified and a Diplomate in Internal Medicine, Dr. Arvind maintains memberships with the Indian Medical Council and the Karnataka Medical Group.

Wayne Beauford, M.D. - Pulmonology

Dr. Wayne Beauford received his Bachelor of Science degree from Claflin College before attending Meharry Medical College, where he received his Medical degree. He continued his education by completing an Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at Martin Luther King General Hospital. In addition, Dr. Beauford completed a Pulmonary Medicine Fellowship at Martin Luther King General Hospital and a Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at Long Beach Veteran Administration.

A Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Beauford is professionally affiliated with the Old North State Medical Society, North Carolina Respiratory Care Board, Community Clinic of High Point (Board Member), Hospice of Piedmont (Medical Director), High Point Regional Hospital Pulmonary Rehabilitation (Medical Director) and High Point Regional Hospital Respiratory Care (Medical Director).

Eric Chuang, M.D., Ph.D. - Cardiologist

Eric Chuang, MD, PhD went to the National Taiwan University in Taipei, Taiwan as an undergraduate and was awarded his medical degree by the Louisiana State University School of Medicine, where he earned his doctorate in Physiology as well as a certification in Lipidology. His internship and residency training were served at the University of California in the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Dr. Chuang is North Carolina Board Certified in Internal Medicine and specializes in Cardiology. His professional affiliations also include his Fellowship of American College of Cardiology, Fellowship of the Society of Cardiovascular - Angiography and Interventions, as well as Federated Ambulatory Surgery Association.

Thomas E. Jarrett, M.D. - Internal Medicine

Dr. Thomas Jarrett received his Bachelor of Science at Clemson University before attending the Medical University of South Carolina, where he received his Doctor of Medicine degree. He completed a Rotating Internship at Spartanburg General Hospital and an Internal Medicine Internship at New Hanover Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Jarrett is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners. In addition, he is a member of the North Carolina Medical Society.

Aileen E. John, D.O. - Family Medicine

Dr. Aileen John received her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Temple University before attending the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and earning a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. She served as Chief Medical Intern at St. Joseph’s Hospital and completed a Family Medical Residency at Broward Medical Center. Board Certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Medicine, Dr. John maintains membership with the American Osteopathic Association.

Deidra McCants, M.D. - Family Medicine

Dr. Deidra McCants received her Bachelor Science degree from East Carolina University and continued there at the School of Medicine, where she received her Medical degree. She completed a Family Medicine Internship and Residency at the Mayo Clinic.

Board Certified in Family Practice, Dr. McCants maintains memberships with numerous prestigious organizations, including the American Academy of Family Physicians, Florida Academy of Family Physicians, American Medical Association, as well as many others.

Lenny J. Peters, M.D., M.R.C.P. - Gastroenterology

Dr. Lenny Peters, President and CEO of Bethany Medical, received his Medical degree from Baptist Hospital, Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University. He completed a two-year fellowship in Gastroenterology and a three year internal medicine residency program. Dr. Peters founded the Bethany practice in 1987 and has since expanded it into a multi-specialty group including a state of the art endoscopy center. He is Board Certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He also serves on the Medical Staff at High Point Regional.

Don K. Bulla, PA-C, RPh. - Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology

Following his undergraduate studies in Pharmaceuticals at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Don Bulla completed the Physician Assistance Program at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. Licensed by the North Carolina Medical Board and North Carolina Pharmacy Board, he is certified by the National Commissions for Certification for Physician Assistants.

Michael Duran, PA-C - Internal Medicine and Cardiology

Michael Duran received his ADS in Respiratory Therapy from Manchester Community College before attending Hahnemann Medical University, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree as a Physician Assistant. Certified by National Board of Medical Examiners, Michael Duran is highly skilled to provide you with the highest standard of care. He maintains professional affiliations with the North Carolina Medical Society, American Association of Physician Assistants, Fellowship of Christian Physician Assistants and the Guilford County Physician Extenders just to name a few.

Amanda Taylor, PA-C – Internal Medicine & Gastroenterology

Amanda Taylor attended High Point University for a B.S. in Biology before attending the University of North Carolina, Greensboro, where she received a Master of Public Health Education. She continued at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, where she completed the Physicians Assistant Program. Certified as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission, Amanda Taylor maintains membership with the American Academy of Physician Assistants, North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants and Guilford Physician Extenders.

Patrick Watterson, PA-C Internal and Sports Medicine

Patrick Watterson completed his Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Kentucky. Cindy Vertefeuille, ANP-C - Internal Medicine

Cindy Vertefeuille received her Bachlor of Science in Nursing and her Nurse Practitioner degrees from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. She is a Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner and licensed by the North Carolina Medical Board.
